A very busy day today…. while one group headed North, to make deliveris in Las Delicias de Upala, province of Alajuela, another went South, for deliveries to the communities of Buenos Aires, Térraba and Boruca, all in the province of Puntarenas. Presence of Covid-19 cases in the school in Cañas, Guanacaste, caused the school to close and delivery there had to be cancelled at the last minute. In times of pandemic, this can happen…

Today also, the bikes are received with joy and gratefulness. In each college the protocols are followed to put nobody in danger. Therefore, in some colleges only some students were present, in representation of all the beneficiaries.

Example of vocation: the director of Liceo de Las Delicias, Upala, paid the student insurance out of his own pocket for the students who lacked it, so they could receive the bicycle.

In Térraba, a strong and sudden downpour stopped us for a moment, as it was entirely impossible to hear anything else. Fortunately, it didn’t last long.

As Boruca was the last delivery of the day, we had the opportunity to spend a little more time with the students, and see how they learned, with the help of the INS team, to fix the handle, tighten the brakes and adjust the seat.
